Composing Together

This year, Gojogo will be working with Teaching Composer and Composing Together Director, Katrina Wreede, to help approximately 120 young people write and perform their own music at King and Longfellow Middle Schools in Berkeley and at Edna Brewer Middle School in Oakland. Composing Together believes all children are inherently creative and have the capacity to explore, express, and refine ideas through composing music. CT brings professional composers and ensembles, including Gojogo, directly into classrooms to collaborate with students and develop working relationships between students and professionals. The "theme" for the compositions will be Local Native Plants, which includes "adopting" actual plants into the classroom and demonstrations from Friends of Sausal Creek and the UC Botanical Garden.

Redwood Grove Concerts (click to learn more)

Redwood Grove is one the most sceneic venues in the bay area. We play in an ampitheater with 100 year old redwood trees as the backdrop. We are very excited to make our return to this wonderful place and honored to share the bill with Ramon and Jessica.
5:30 - 7:30 pm
Redwood Grove door opens: 5:00 pm
Ticket includes admission to the Garden before 4:30 pm
Space is limited and we expect some shows to sell out early
BYO picnic, drinks, and warm clothing (it may get chilly)
Alcohol Not Allowed
